Ritz Bits Sandwiches

I like cheese and Ritz Bits Sandwiches claims it’s made with real Kraft cheese, so I thought, why not?

The biscuits were really tiny! Two-bite sized. Or actually, you could also just pop one straight into your mouth! Haha.

It was perfect for a quick snack. Yummy and ‘cheese-y’ too!

Tiffany Cream Biscuits

I bought this biscuit on impulse coz a good friend’s name is Tiffany! Haha

But from what I heard, this brand is very popular in the Middle East. And the flavor that I got, chocolate cream, is an all-time favorite.

The packaging wasn’t very attractive but the biscuits were good! They were medium crisp, had a mild sweetness, and dissolved easily in the mouth.

Too bad my friend Tiffany doesn’t like chocolates or anything sweet for that matter, else I would have loved to share these with her!

Lindt Lindor 60% Cacao Extra Dark Chocolates

Among all the ‘glittering’ chocolates in the lovely Lindt store, one item that caught my eye was Lindor Extra Dark Chocolate. With its predominantly black wrapping, it was so somber-looking!

However, I soon realized why…..it was 60% cacao chocolate! Nicee!

I tried it as soon as I got home.

The truffle was a light chocolate ball coated in dark chocolate, and it had a faint cocoa scent.

Loved the contrast between the inner and outer chocolates! The shell was dry and ‘crunchy’, while the filling was velvety soft and creamy!

The cocoa taste was mainly in the coating. The center had more of a milky undertone, which easily offset the dark chocolate flavor. Hence, the aftertaste was that of a light vanilla-like sweetness and almost none of the cocoa bitterness!

Lindor 60% Cacao Extra Dark Chocolate was truly a divine truffle. Its textures and flavors were wonderfully-balanced. Pricey, but worth it. 😀

Utane Bread

Utane is a Japanese baking technique wherein dough is mixed into warm water, then cooled in a chill environment. Hence, the name.

Utane Bread usually stays fresh for 3 days. But the one that I bought from T&T Supermarket stated that it’s good for one whole week!

Some of the flavors were Carrot, Multigrain, Taro and Coconut.  I got Taro, which was the flavor that I liked best, and apparently, the most popular one too!

It had a peculiar smell though. But I couldn’t quite nail it down. And it wasn’t just the taro smell. There was something else.

I checked the bag itself, but it wasn’t that either. I had also wanted to check the ingredients; however, there was none written.

Yet despite the odd smell, the bread wasn’t bad. Pretty good, in fact. The texture was really soft, moist, and sponge-like. And it had a bit of a sweet taro taste too!

Chongga Kimchi

Kimchi is a traditional Korean pickled side dish that is said to be rich in vitamins and aids in digestion.

I remember having my first taste of kimchi at a local Korean fastfood chain and not liking it one bit. But I also remember later eating it at a Korean friend’s house and loving every morsel of it! I guess who makes it counts. A lot!

Now I usually go buy at the local Asian store whenever I have a craving.

One of the kimchi brands I like is Chongga. It has a nice deep flavor and the right amount of spiciness! A small plastic jar lasts me only a week!

I really should learn how to make it, but I heard it’s a pretty laborious and time-consuming process. But maybe I just might. Someday. 😛
