Sea Salt

Today I went to the dollar store and was surprised to find sea salt! It usually costs me more, so being able to buy it at a buck ($1.00) was a real bargain.

Sea salt is obtained from the evaporation of sea or ocean water.

I use it for cooking and bathing. In cooking, sea salt gives food a better taste and texture than ordinary table salt. The taste is more ‘pure’ and ‘clean’, and is not quite as ‘salty’. In bathing, it serves as a relaxing and non-invasive body cleanse, and keeps my skin moisturized.

Since I use sea salt a lot, I’ll definitely go back to the dollar store for more. 🙂

Cottonelle Wipes

I keep wipes around the house. They’re convenient and come in handy during ’emergencies’ (e.g. spilled drinks, food stains,…).

Right now I’m using Cottonelle Wipes. They’re a good-sized nice-smelling thick wipes, that are soft, moist and soothing to the touch. I love how there’s no alcohol, oil or soap in them (since I have sensitive skin)! The pop-up tub is an added plus, although there have also been times when the next wipe doesn’t come out well and just falls back in.

And oh, this product is flushable too!

Gentle on the environment and on the skin (and even on the wallet), Cottonelle Wipes will be on my next shopping list again!

Stainless Steel Chopsticks

I prefer stainless steel chopsticks over wooden ones because they’re strong, reusable, sanitary and don’t stain with food.

Living in Canada, where chopsticks aren’t the main utensils for eating, it took me quite some time to find them, but I’m glad I finally did.

The set that I bought consisted of 5 pairs, and has a round body and a twisting pattern at the upper part. I’ve been using them since Wednesday, and they’re surprisingly lightweight too!
