Bladeless Fan

Cool! Thought the Dyson Air Multiplier, more simply known as the bladeless fan, was really neat.

I loved its design. It’s eye-catching and it’s super sleek.

The air coming out was focused, constant and even. No buffeting, as is claimed by its ads. The air was also pleasantly cool, just like air conditioning! But then again, I realized that that was probably due to the store’s air conditioning as well. LOL

There were three controls – one for power, one for air flow, and one for oscillation.

The fans were at low speed at that time and were pretty quiet, which made me wonder……would they still be as noiseless when cranked up? I wanted to know. But just as I was about to adjust the control, my friend stopped me, whispering that the store clerk was already throwing us ‘evil’ looks. haha

I walked away still thinking about the fan. It was truly one great product. In terms of design and innovativeness, it deserves an A+. And another plus for being kid-friendly too! No need to worry anymore about the little ones sticking in their fingers and getting hurt.

But alas! As with many great products, its price was also GREAT. Ridiculously expensive, in fact! The 10-inch was priced at $379.99, while both the tower and pedestal fan were at $549.99!

That’s a real hefty price to pay. Even if I had the money, I’d still probably walk away. At those prices, I’d rather stick it out with my trusty old conventional $30.00 fan with blades. 😛

Bedol Water Clock

I knew I wanted one the first time I heard of the clock that runs only on water. No batteries. No electricity. No winding-up. Cool!

The Bedol Water Powered Clock came in different colors, and guess what color I got? The green one, of course! Haha, thought it was the perfect color for that little ‘green’ clock.

Shaped like a water droplet, the clock is made of transparent plastic. The interior is separated into two cavities by a clear plastic divider; and in each cavity, two metal plates are attached to the back side of the clock display.

The instructions were simple:  fill both cavities with water up to the marked line, add a splash of lemon juice or vinegar, and it’s good to go for 6 -8 weeks!

A refreshing timepiece indeed!

Garment Rack

Can’t believe the bus driver whizzed past and almost missed me despite the tall garment rack box I was carrying. He stopped a few meters away and I had to run while lugging the package. Good thing he was considerate enough to apologize for his mistake.

Winter is just around the corner and I needed more hanging space for bulky jackets and coats; hence, the garment rack.

The rack that I got was a standard one. It has steel rods so it’s pretty sturdy and doesn’t wobble nor bend under the weight of my clothes. It’s vertically adjustable and has wheels for easy mobility. It’s also easy to assemble and requires no special tools. Following the instructions, I was done within minutes!
